We have great news! Value Power residential customers will soon become Discount Power customers, giving you access to more resources and even better customer service. Your retail electricity service will be transitioned from Value Power to U.S. Retailers LLC, dba Discount Power in December 2023.
Commercial and non-residential customers will be transitioned to U.S. Retailers LLC, dba Cirro Energy, during the same period. See below for more information.
This transition will be seamless to you and you need to take no action at this time. There will be no interruption in your service and your current contract period, rate and all other terms will stay the same.
Once the transfer of your service is complete, you will receive a final bill from Value Power for service through the date of the transfer. After that, all future invoices and correspondence will come from Discount Power.

Value Power and US Retailers LLC dba Discount Power have agreed to transition Value Power customers to Discount Power in December 2023. Discount Power is a trusted Texas electricity provider that has been serving customers for over a decade. This transition will provide you with more resources, extended call center hours, and an enhanced customer service experience.
Discount Power has been serving customers in Texas for over a decade and currently serves hundreds of thousands of customers in the state.
You do not need to do anything at this time. We will take care of transferring your account information safely and securely. If you are on auto pay then you will need to set that up again once your account transfer has been completed and you have received your new account number.
No. The transition will not cause any service interruption whatsoever.
Your account will transition in December 2023. If you have an email address on file with Value Power, you will receive a notification once your account has been transferred to Discount Power. If you do not have an email address on file, you will receive your first bill within 45 days after the account transitions.
Your current energy rate will stay the same, as will all other terms of your contract including duration and early termination fees, etc.
No. Your current plan, including the expiration date of the plan, will remain intact. However, you will have a new account number with Discount Power. Your electricity service will be under the same plan term, length and rate that you had with Value Power. However, please note the name of your plan may change, but your contract terms and billing rate will stay the same
There is no need to do anything differently. Your last invoice, along with any payments for your remaining balance (for your Value Power account), can be made in the same manner you have used to pay your previous invoices.
For the security of your payment information your Auto Pay will NOT transfer automatically. If you are on Auto Pay with Value Power, you will need to set up Auto Pay separately with Discount Power once you receive your new account number (after your Discount Power account has been created*).
Once your Discount Power account is established, you may go online to www.discountpowertx.com/myaccount or call Discount Power at 1.877.455.4674 to have Auto Pay added to your new account.
*Once your account transitions to Discount Power and If you already have an email address on file, you will receive an email from Discount Power with your new account number. Once you receive your new account number, you are ready to set up Auto Pay. If you do not have an email address on file, you will receive your new account number with your first bill from Discount Power.
Yes. You will need to update your payment information per the remittance instructions on your first invoice with Discount Power. However, you will need to use your current payment information to pay the last bill you receive from Value Power.
You will need your new Discount Power account number to complete setup, which will be provided to you after your account transitions to Discount Power. If you already have an email address on file, you will receive an email from Discount Power with your new account number. Once you receive your new account number, you are ready to set up your on-line account with Discount Power.
If you do not have an email address on file you will receive your new account number with your first bill from Discount Power.
Once you receive an email or your first bill, please visit www.discountpowertx.com/myaccount. Click on the “First time here? Register now” button and complete the enrollment process.
You may call them seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. CT at 1-877-455-4674 or chat with them on their website at www.discountpowertx.com. Please note, Discount Power will not have record of your service until your account has transitioned to Discount Power and you have received an email or your first bill from Discount Power.
Your Value Power online bill pay accounts will remain open for a period of time to allow you to pay your final bill and access any previous billing history. Once your final bill has been paid your bill pay account will be closed automatically. Please contact us for any additional questions regarding online account access.
Yes. In order to avoid disconnection prior to the transition from Value Power, you must maintain any previous payment arrangements made with Value Power. Payment must be made to Value Power to restore power should your account get disconnected.
No. The amount on the deferred payment plan will NOT transfer to Discount Power. After your account is transferred from Value Power, you will receive your last bill from Value Power, and your entire balance, including the amount that was included in the deferred payment plan, will be due in full at that time. If you have questions about your last bill from Value Power, please contact us.
Yes. Value Power will transfer your preferred billing method (eBill notification and/or paper billing) with your account information to Discount Power.
For your convenience, Value Power will transition all deposits, including accrued interest, to Discount Power. This means you will NOT have to pay an additional deposit due to the switch. Your deposit will continue to accrue interest and will be returned after 12 consecutive on-time payments.
Please contact Value Power. Based on where you are in the transition process, Value Power agents will either be able to renew your account or get you in touch with members of the Discount Power team who would be able to renew your account.
Yes, if you have already completed a renewal for your account that is scheduled to take effect after the transition you do not need to do anything else. Your renewal rate and term will be transitioned to Discount Power and will take effect as scheduled.
If you enrolled with Value Power with a start date after November 29, you will be automatically switched to Discount Power on the day of the commencement of your contract with Value Power at the same terms and price that you originally signed up for.
Commercial customers will be transitioned to Cirro Energy, a trusted electricity provider that has been serving Texas customers for almost 15 years. The information in the FAQs above will still apply, with the following exceptions:
Once your account is transitioned you will receive an email from Cirro Energy with your new account number. You can set up your auto pay and create your online account www.cirroenergy.com/my/login or call Cirro Energy at 1.800.692.4776
You can contact Cirro Energy’s commercial team Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CT at 1-888-623-9886 or text them by sending your questions to CIRRO (24776) during business hours. Please note: Cirro Energy will not have record of your service until your account has transitioned and you have received an email or your first bill from them.
If you paid a deposit to start your commercial service with Value Power your deposit, and accrued interest, will be transferred to Cirro Energy. Your deposit will continue to accrue interest and will be refunded after 24 months of on-time payments.
